This is the scoring system that will be used on your WebBoard discussion assignments. We hope it helps you understand the criteria on which your work is being evaluated. These 10-point assignments are designed to provide students with an opportunity to reflect on course material, integrate it, and discuss it. Oridinarly, completing the required minimum of making tree posts will earn you 7 points--a C. The best answers will include correct information from lectures/text and a thoughtful application or integration of this information, articulated clearly, logically, coherently, and respectfully. While grading these assigments, we will identify desired features of the answer, and award points for each feature present. Component scores will be totalled. The global scale is A+ = 10, A = 9, B = 8, etc. We may use 0.5 increments to capture finer distinctions. Your intital post: 3 points Your replies: 2 points each TOTAL for making the minimally required posts: 7 points Any reasonable set of posts will earn these point totals. Below are criteria for earning additional points (or for earning fewer points). "Reasonable" posts are those that are factually accurate, include relevant information, are articulate and logical, and include no or very few spelling or grammatical errors. Additional points: 3 points
Point reductions: If you posts show the following, you might earn fewer than 7 points:
